Be A Celebrity At Campus Dining’s Red Carpet Event
Ever wanted to feel like a celebrity for one night? Penn State Campus Residential Dining invites you to the first special dinner of the semester, a Red Carpet Event. On February 22, 2017, all five dining commons will be transformed into a luxurious A-list dinner spot.
There’s no need for gowns or tuxedos or to rent a limo for this Red Carpet, the only thing you need to bring is your appetite!
When entering through the VIP entrance, you’ll be greeted with mock sangria and sparkling white grape juice. After taking a seat at one of our many white linen tablecloth tables, your first course will be a choice between lobster and corn chowder or butternut squash soup (or both.)
Right before your entree of garlic and rosemary beef strip loin with shiitake mushroom sauce, thai peanut and popcorn crusted chicken, crab cakes with horseradish dill sauce and grilled cauliflower steak with caper tomato basil relish, get out your camera to take a picture in front of the illuminated Hollywood sign or have our paparazzi take your picture for you in our photo booths. And while you’re taking pictures, be sure to use our Snapchat filter that was created solely for this event.
If your entree wasn’t enough to fill you up, grab some citrus marinated shrimp salad, a side of three cheese scalloped potatoes, roasted beets or fresh grilled asparagus with green peppercorn vinaigrette and a bite from the breads and dip bar that will include assorted cheeses, dips and more. Of course there’s always room for dessert, such as assorted macaroons and shooter cups with star garnish that were created specifically for this event.
We can’t wait to treat you all like the celebrities that you are. We will see you on Wednesday, February 22 for dinner!
Dinner hours for the Red Carpet dinner vary upon location. Typically, dinner is served between. 5 p.m. to 8.p.m. but for more information on campus dining hours, please visit: http://foodservices.psu.edu/residential-dining-hours-spring-2017
