Penn State Residential Dining is excited to welcome the National Onion Association, as they host an onion-themed lunch and dinner event. All five dining commons will be holding this unique onion specialty meal on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

For lunch, onion lovers can look forward to Vidalia and red onion soup as well as baby spinach and roasted red onion salad. Additionally, attendees will get to taste a new recipe with sweet onion, olive and anchovy pissaladiere.

The onion adventure doesn’t end there! The National Onion Association will also be joining us for dinner. Students can look forward to Vidalia and red onion soup, caramelized onion and white bean chicken, and orzo risotto.

A la carte selections include beef cheesesteak with bacon, onion, jam and brie cheese as well as fried potato chips with sour cream and onion dip.

Students can also look forward to receiving National Onion Association branded breath mints, bookmarks, and other goodies!

Penn State Residential Dining is devoted to providing students with delicious and healthy options. We are excited to offer our students with this fun and healthy specialty lunch and dinner event.

The lunch and dinner hours will vary depending on dining location. Usually, lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information about campus dining hours can be found at: http://foodservices.psu.edu/residential-dining-hours-fall-2016.
