At Penn State, we recognize that some individuals with Celiac Disease or other gluten-related sensitivities cannot tolerate gluten and must exclude it from their diet. Multiple resources are available to help you safely follow a gluten-free diet. Many of the daily menu options served on campus are gluten-free. In addition to the menu options, all five dining commons at University Park also offer a separate gluten-free station in the all-you-care-to-eat area that is accessible during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Items offered at these stations are meant to complement the meals served on the menu and provide additional options for individuals following a gluten-free diet. These stations are stocked with a variety of "staple" items including breads, rolls, cereals, pretzels, assorted baked goods and pasta. Individual gluten-free pizzas are available upon request. Each station is also fully equipped with a separate gluten-free toaster, microwave oven, and a cooler for perishable items.
Anyone interested in learning more about our Gluten Free options are encouraged to notify a manager or contact a Registered Dietitian.
