Gluten Free

Penn State Campus Dining recognizes that individuals with Celiac Disease or gluten-related sensitivities must avoid gluten products when dining. For that reason, a number of resources are available to help guests safely follow a gluten-free diet while dining on campus. Menu items containing gluten are labeled on entree cards at the point of service, as well as on the online menu for each dining commons location. For the online menu, filtering options are available to easily note which items are gluten free.

In addition to the menu options, all five dining commons at University Park offer a separate gluten-free station in each all-you-care-to-eat locations, which is accessible during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Items offered at these stations are meant to complement the meals served on the menu and provide additional options for individuals following a gluten-free diet. The stations are fully equipped with a designated toaster oven, microwave, cutting board and cooler for perishables. A variety of gluten-free food items are available at the station, including, but not limited to:

  • GF Bagels
  • GF Rolls
  • GF Sliced Bread
  • GF Pasta w/ Tomato Sauce
  • Individual Pizzas on GF crust
  • GF Breakfast Cereals - available in bulk or in individual cups upon request
  • Glutino® GF Pretzel Twists
  • Udi's® GF Cookies and Chocolate Muffins
  • Amy's® Gluten-Free Mac N' Cheese (available upon request)

PURE: a food station dedicated to preparing menu items without gluten, as well as other common allergens including dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (excluding coconut), fish, shellfish or sesame. The station includes a separate kitchen and cooking equipment and is full service to prevent allergen/gluten cross-contact. PURE is located in The Commons at East Food District.
