What Is RHEAL?

RHEAL stands for Residential Healthy Eating and Living, a program designed to point out healthy options while in the dining halls. Look for the carrot icon on the menus and also on the entree cards to find items with the following qualifications*:                                           

Main Dishes
Calories: less than 500
Max 10% calories from saturated fat
Trans Fat: 0g
Sodium: less than 600mg

Side Item
Calories: less than 225
Max 10% from saturated fat
Sodium: less than 360mg

Calories: less than 170 per 6 oz serving
Max 10% calories from saturated fat
Trans fat: 0g
Sodium: less than 450mg/6oz. serving

*The above criteria is based on a 2,000 calorie diet, however individual nutrition needs may vary. Students interested in additional guidance on meeting individual dietary goals can make an appointment with a Registered Dietitian at the Nutrition Clinic.
